Nice But

Love the camera, takes great pics, but there is what looks like a bug on the inside of my view finder. It does not show up on picture, but every time I look through the camera I see a bug. I hope this is not a sign of future quality control issues and what bothers me the most is I have to take the camera back or send it in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Coming from the 30D,40D,7D and the 5D Mark II this new body exuberates updated features that make it a must have for an enthusiast as well as a pro. It captures very nice high detailed photographs using a much more advanced AF system that works very well. If your not getting clear photographs (your doing something wrong) its that simple. I can tell a HUGE difference in the level of detail that it captures compared to the 5D Mark II. Not to discredit the the Mark II at all. One of the only things that drive me nuts about this camera is the zoom buttons are different then previous models for looking at a photograph on the LCD. With as mutch technology built into this model you should be able to assign the old buttons to this function. The new shutter sound is powerful and responsive not klunky..Currently using two bodies the 7D and the 5D Mark III.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, af system
Cons: Missing features/settings, lcd zoom function
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quite and handy but black dots on long exposures at night. This camera also has poor flash support compared to the 5D. Canon locked out the rear curtain sync so no dragging the shutter unless you spend 500 on 580ex II.
Cons: Poor image quality, Missing features/settings, flash support
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, but not enough

Maybe too much expectations! You can't do large prints beyond 1.600 ISO, the noise is very strong. Make videos is very, very difficult, one of the reasons is the difficult due to the lack of manual controls. Problems with focus in low light conditions. I have sounds in the battery compartiment.
Pros: Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, good battery life
Cons: Poor build quality, noisy, no manual controls in video, problems with focus in low light conditions
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had nothing but problems with the 5 D Mark ii . My images are hazy and 'soft' over 50% of the time regardlses of ISO/ aperature/ shutter.
I would save your money and buy a different camera body.
Pros: good battery life, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Poor image quality, Poor build quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
