New house, new refrigerator

Smaller that it looks, design issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Configuration of the shelves/drawers and doors requires both doors to be opened most of the time. Ice maker is tiny. Smaller shelf on the left side has a slide tab for the "humidity" within the drawer. More times than not the tab is caught in the drawer when closed. Wonder how long it is going to take for that tab to break off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of room for all those goodies

We bought a new RV and this refrigerator was included in it. I do not like it that the refrigerator width drawer necessitates both doors to be open. It would be nice if the drawer lid could be opened part way with only one of the French doors open. I would also like a separate spigot for water and one for ice. Otherwise the refrigerator works quite well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great fridge

This refrigerator came with our new house and is great but does not have great room in the fridge. The ice maker takes up a lot of room in the fridge so you need to have a lot of shallow items in order for things to fit. You can't have too many juice or milk containers or they won't fit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent refrigerator without the ice maker

I purchased this refrigerator 3 to 4 years ago. I love it, it's quiet, easy to clean, has easily adjustable shelves, and looks great. Overall I have had good service except the problem with the ice maker. Water froze in the unit blocking it and causing it to malfunction. The last time that happened, I turned off the refrigerator, allowed the ice to melt, and only then could I open the unit. I turned off the ice maker and I don't use it anymore. However, I have several whirlpool appliances and their customer service has been excellent whenever I have had a question regarding any Whirlpool appliance. This refrigerator is the first Whirlpool appliance I have had a problem with. I maintain confidence in the Whirlpool brand.

Shelf versatility a plus

The unit fit perfectly as a counter depth and has more space than I expected. The ice maker through the door works really well and the unit is cooling perfectly. The versatility of the shelves of the door and inside the unit are a great feature.

Purchased on with a kitchen remodel. Love it. Not hard to take care of. I am not pleased with the design of the shelves. Loose space with the brackets under the shelves. I really don't like the brightness of the lights on the ice feature. Very bright and no way to turn it down.
