I have always used a Phillips Norelco and I like the fact I can charge it and don't have to have a cord in the way when I shave and I can take it anywhere.

What I like about this shaver compared to the previous Philips shavers that I've owned is that there is less maintenance in terms of cleaning the shaving head. Rinsing it and letting it air dry is much better than taking the blades out and fiddling with the brush around the teeth, compounded by concern about reassembling them correctly. On the downside, it seems to be harder to get a good shave these years, but that might be due to changes in my skin and beard as I age. Or it might be because these heads "float" more? I'm inclined towards the aging hypothesis, but... Last concern is about new blades, which of course might tie into the quality of the shave. Might be moot if the battery wears out, but so far it's still keeping a good charge. So overall I remain pretty well satisfied with this shaver and more satisfied with Philips than with the various other brands I've tried over the decades. If this review system allowed for binary comparisons, then I think this model would beat most of the older Philips I've owned, and in general the Philips shavers would also beat the competitors' shavers. (By the way, the shaver pictured in this webform is NOT my model. It actually looks like one I owned about 10 years ago.)
