I really like the close shave that this razor provides. It is a little difficult to handle because the handle is quite short. The heads are easily removed for cleaning, but the whisker repository is difficult to clean because it is so deep and water remains in the mechanical rotor housing and has to be shaken out to get it to dry.
Pros: close shave, long-lasting charge
Cons: handle too short, water stays in mechanical rotors

It shaves more quickly and closely than other Norelcos in this price range that I have owned. When rinsing, the flip top stays on securely. I do like the wet lather shave feature, although usually I use it dry.
Pros: wet lather shave., long-lasting charge.
Cons: the base station is a bit clumsy.

As proof that I love the AT889, I told my brother how pleased I was with it and he bought one right away . About a week later he called and reported how pleased he was with the it. I dry shave mostly, he wet shaves, but we both get the results we want. A great product !had
