I have wiry whiskers and a good growth by morning. I get a comfortable shave that is blade-close in less than half the time of my old razor. Barely more than one pass and I'm done!
It's a good product and works well but it would be nice to know when the battery was about to die. You can only operate the shaver charged. It's not possible to use it plugged in. I see that as a disadvantage. Sometimes you're in a hurry to go and you pick up your shaver and it's dead.
Pros: ease of use
Cons: battery doesn't have a level of charge meter
This is the 2nd Phillips NORELCO Aquatec razor that I have purchased. And, I love this one just the same as the first. (Incidently, after using my first one for several years, I gave it a thorough cleaning and, my son asked for it and he is still using it.)
I used electric razors in my youth but went back to 2,3.4 + blade hand razors later in life. I recently (age north of 60) went back to the electric to save water. (you always have to fill the bowl with HOT or shave in the shower - adding 3 minutes of water). Well, got to help out on the drought you know. In any case, it does the job. It's reasonably close. You can shave and drive at the same time provided nobody is watching (well it's heads up after all and you can get away without a mirror). So far, I'm happy.
