Phillips Norelco AT880 electric razor provides a good shave with minimal irritation. Shave is close and smooth, but not as "under-the-skin" close as a blade. However, the trade-off is NO cuts, nicks, bleeding, styptic pencils, tissues, etc. Well worth it, in my view!
Convenient to choose between shaving with shaving cream, electric pre-shave lotion, or nothing. Shaving heads are quickly, easily cleaned after each use under running water. I get about 50 minutes of shaving -- 7 - 10 days worth -- from a full charge.
Overall I am very satisfied with the AT880 electric shaver.
Pros: usable wet or dry, easily cleaned under running water, quick recharge when needed
50 plus yrs ago started with an electric razor and 3 yrs later switched to a wet shave. On a whim bought my Norelco and after 3 wks. am impressed wet or dry
I have used various Philips rotary razors for years. I have sensitive skin and use this razor for general purpose shaving and the 1250X when I want a really close shave without irritating the skin on my face and neck. It doesn't shave as close as the 1250X but if I don't press against the skin too hard, my skin doesn't end up red.
Charger design needs re-engineering. Trying to line up the razor with the charger plug is a challange, and when it is properly lined up, requires significant downward pressure to hold the razor in position, and prevent it from falling over.
