Trying this out after about 10 years of using that other shaving system with 6 bladed razors and shaving cream. Best shave I've ever had. Got one of these to try to save time. Like that you can shave with the electric and still use shaving cream. Smart. Said in about 2 weeks of daily shaving the blades would be broken in and honed by the individual blade cups. I've had this one about a month and am still waiting for the shave to get close and complete. Still misses about half my wiskers in general. Need to rub it all over my beard incessantly to get any sort of complete shave at all. Physics should have told me that as long as the blades have to cut through a stationary piece of metal like the blade cup, you aren't gonna get any closer shave.
It is incredibly light, and the battery pack lasts, and lasts! My older Norelco was heavy, and served me well - hated to toss it. But after many years of great service, the batteries would no longer hold a charge. :(
The new pivot blades and head work extremely well, and I got a closer shave than I was expecting.
It is difficult to seat the razor in the charger. There is no positive indication the razor is properly seated other than the charge light. The design of the connection is not as good as my previous Norelco.
I find that the battery indicator does not show until you plug it in. In previous shavers from your company the battery indicator was visible at all times. This new shaver is hard to travel with, when camping as sometimes there is no electric outlet close by and you are not sure how much battery you have.
I have been using Phillip (Norelco) shavers for thr past 30 years and have never had a bad experience with them. I particularly am impressed with this shaver because the smoothness it leaves on my skin. Great product
