I have used Norelco electric shavers for over 50 years and have found each new model improves shaving head technology. I would like to see a more powerful rechargeable battery thus increasing recharging times intervals. This model seems to have the same battery capacity as a previous model I have had for several years.

My previous razor was also a Philips. It was a 8000 series with 3 types of blades. This razor only has the outer row. It does as good of a job shaving, but takes a little longer overall.
Pros: good price, works with other model accessories
Cons: less cutting types on the blades, no accessories.

Have not used it long enough to give a thorough review. So far it seems to be working pretty well, not sure am getting close enough shaves. the previous one i had came with a shaving gel. Think maybe there should be one for this particular razor which i could purchase.
