The razor is fine from what I can tell. I don't like the charger, it's way too big. I also don't like that it didn't come with a carrying case. Otherwise it's just fine.
motor sounds weak. I charged it for a whole day before using it, but it still does not run very fast. Takes a long time to shave with it. I have had other triple headed savers that run much faster. I am sort of disappointed. ALSO, the on-off switch is located right where I hold it, so I frequently accidentally turn it off while shaving.
Cons: does not turn blades fast enough, sounds like a weak sewing machine, on-off switch frequently gets touched while using
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hadn't used an electric for 20 years when I got this shaver as a gift. I was skeptical at first, but became a convert after the first couple of shaves. Nice and close and easy to maneuver. Was disappointed by its performance in the shower, though. Tried it a couple of times to be fair. It either misses a lot of whiskers or cuts them well above the skinline. I always liked blade shaving in the shower since the wet whiskers were much easier to cut close. Perhaps my whiskers swell up too much when wet. Oh well, the convenience and overall performance of the Norelco has me using it exclusively, just not in the shower.
The AT880 is not as sophisticated as my previous shaver.

The blades feel great and I get a smooth shave. Ease of cleaning is as good as the last shaver. Costco didn't have you high end model with LCD time remaining feature. I just have to wait till the battery goes dead before recharging.
