The cutting blades are great: they do not snag.
The motor sounds like it is going slow at first but it has long battery time.

I hadn't used an electric shaver in forty years. I now shave my head as well as my face and blade having was tedious. This shaver does a great job and enables me to quickly take care of my face and my head.

I would not call myself a lumberjack. I don't grow a real thick beard at all. I don't get as close a shave as I expected from this product. Stubble is always left behind. Not too long but long enough to be annoying.
The size of the unit is a good fit for an average-sized hand like mine, but not great for travelling. Another reason it's not great for travelling is there's no way to "lock" the power button so it doesn't inadvertently get switched on while packed in your luggage. So, you always have to take your charger with you just in case.
The sideburn trimmer isn't very precise and as a result it can be less than perfect when used to trim beard/mustache/goatee.
Not a bad shaver, but if I had it to do over again, I would probably spend a little extra $ to get one of the higher-end models.
Pros: good fit for average-sized hand, long battery life
Cons: not a super-close shave, no way to "lock" the power button

I like this saver very much as it does a great job and this is the first shaver, I have had that had the pivot head, which I also like. I wish that the bottom of the shaver was designed better as it is really pointed and makes it harder to hold onto while you are using it. Plus the off and on button needs to be located higher up, at least for me, as that is where my fingers make contact and I have to watch this or it will turn it off while using it. I like the soft feel it has to it. Overall it is worth purchasing. Will have to wait and see if it last s long as my other one I has. I like the modern color of it.
Pros: very long running time between re-charges
Cons: i hate the stiff re-charging cord on it

I've tried and used Norelco razors before; but the new AT830 has ultimately provided the smoothest and closest shave, far better over any other electric or blade.
Specifically I used the wet shaving method, as currently I have a pre-shave product that works only when applied to wet skin. On performance the feel of the shave is smooth and fluid, with little friction. The end result is that my face becomes perfectly smooth without any shadow of stubble.
Pros: can be used wet or dry, short time for full recharge, more shaves between recharges, thorough performance resulting in shorter shaves
