before upgrading from my previous Norelco shaver? I wish I'd made the change ages ago as this model far surpasses the previous one I owned.
There's just one minor flaw which is that I find myself powering off the unit when I use it because the on/off switch is located where I hold the shaver when using it. I'm learning to work around this but think the on/off switch could be located in a position that was less prone to accidently powering it off when in use.
I would Highly reccomend this Shaver to anyone who shaves.

I really love this shaver. It stays charged for a very long time. I purchased a traveling cover for it and it came in very handy. I went on a trip to California for 4 days and I was very satisfied that it stayed charged and was a lot easier to use than a razor. When I wanted to shave, I would just get it out of the Pouch and shave. I used a razor for many years, and now I will never go back to putting shaving cream on my face again. Thank you very much for creating a very good product. Ron P.S. Another thing is cleaning the Shaver: All you have to do is open the top and rinse with hot water.
This is my second one of this model #. The first one broke after 3 years. I know it is not eh most expensive one in the Norelco line, but I would like it to last like all the ones I bought prior to this model. I like this shaver. I like how it performs. I like the ease of use. Just want it to last a little longer...
This is a good razor, it's easy to use and works well both wet and dry. Depends on your type of beard, though. Mine is super coarse, and grows in different directions. I used to keep my beard full and thick and trim, but started using a manual razor a few weeks before making this purchase.
I have to keep going over the same spots over and over until it picks up all of the hair. I've tried both wet and dry, with and without shaving cream/lotion. Dry works a little bit better, but leaves my skin a little irritated, wet avoids this but doesn't pick up all of the hair. I am pretty much at the end of the skin "break in" period, and have minimal in growns/red spots/irritations, but it still takes as long as with a manual razor. Admittedly, a manual razor will get a closer shave, but I have to deal with bad razor burn for 3 or 4 days.
The attached trimmer is pretty much useless.
Pros: easy to clean, recharges fast and holds charge long enough, wet or dry operation
Cons: does not shave close enough, trimmer is useless
After having use the product for 4 weeks I'm disappointed in how long a good shave will last. If I shave in the AM I need to shave again around 6:00 PM if I plan on going out the evening. It does a fairly good job at first but doesn't last long enough for me. I do intend to try and return the product this week.
Pros: charges very quickly, charge last for a long time
Cons: shave does not last long enough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not as good as 10 year old Norelco

All I can say is that this shaver is not anything like the one it replaced. I have used it for about 3 weeks, and today I shaved 3 days growth. It left several curled over hairs. I went over my face with the 10 year old Norelco and it shaved those curly ones right off. If I still had my sales receipt, I'd be sending it back.
