My old Norelco lasted 13 years and suddenly quit running. This new razor is much quieter and forms to my face better. It doesn't seem to cut quite as close, but that is a positive because it reduces the chance of ingrown whiskers. This is not noticeable during the day, but I can feel my whiskers are slightly more noticeable later at night.
Pros: quiet faster cutting

The razor give a good shave, very quiet, easy to handle very smooth. Only draw back is you can’t shave with it plugged in like my old one did. I’ve got use to it wish it had a battery gauge when I need to plug back in.

I have been using an older 9000 series Norelco for many years and changing the blades annually. I have tried at least 3 different Norelco shavers over the past 5 years in an effort to replace my 9000 shaver. None of them gave me as close a shave until this 4400 shaver.
It is lighter, not quite as comfortable in my hand as my 9000 but I am having NO trouble with it and it actually is giving me a closer shave than my old 9000.

I've been using a norelco for 30+ years. I bought the aquatec recently. Today the battery went flat, I plugged it into the wall and was dismayed that I could'nt use the razor while it was charging. I have to go to work half shaven. Horrible design, won't be buying Norelco again.
Cons: can't charge and shave at same time

Hi Gary, thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear your first experiences with our Aquatec haven't been very satisfying. The battery of the Aquatec can be charged within an hour and the appliance can then be used cordless for up to 50 minutes. (it equals almost 17 shaves). You can also charge the shaver for approximately 3 minutes, this will be sufficient to finish 1 shave. Hope this helps.
