Doesn't get close enough

I bought this shaver recently and I am not satisfied with how close it shaves. With a manual razor, I can get my skin smooth. This shaver doesn't come close to giving me smooth skin no matter how long I shave. It also irritates my skin. I'll be returning it as soon as I can figure out how and where to send it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You may adapt the below given steps for best shaving technique and get good results.
• Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements.
• Your skin may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system.
• To prevent damage, put the protection cap on the shaver after use.
Your first shaves may not give you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is not uncommon since your skin and beard need time to adapt to any new shaving system.
It is recommended to take into account an adaptation period of 3 weeks, during which you should shave regularly (at least 3 times per week) to allow your hair and skin to adapt to the new shaver.
During this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods; alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system.

I like the fact that you can wet or dry shave. I get a very smooth shave with no burns or cuts. This is especially important to me as my skin is older now and more tender.

I'll never find a better shaver than my old Cool Skin, but this will do for now.

I have never forgiven Norelco for ending support for the Cool Skin Shaver which gave me the consistently best shave for some years. But, once the lotion pouches were no longer available, it quickly became useless. This 4300, used with either shaving cream or a pre-shave like "Afta," works almost as well. Charges quickly and holds the charge for a long, long time. Looks Good. Cleans easily.
Pros: easy clean, fast charge, holds charge
Cons: not a cool skin

I have been using Norelco razors for several years and really like them. I tried a couple other brands but none worked as well for me.
Pros: washable in sink, good battery life, quick charge
