This product is lighter in weight and has a longer time between charges. Otherwise it is not much different from my previous Norelco razor. Bottom line: it does what I need it to do.
More than anything else, I love the convenience of my Norelco razor when we are traveling. I've tried shaving both with shaving gel and just dry. I frankly don't find much difference, and therefore when we are hurrying in our travels, I go dry. This razor holds a charge very well, and the cleaning of it is just beautiful. This is the second Norelco I have owned, and I am even more pleased with this one than the first.
Product works as expected. The last time I bought a razor was ten years ago and the battery life is much longer in the new one. Also, the new one is quieter. Shaving performance is good.
My last Norelco shaver lasted over 6 years with great features (popup trimmer) and good shave. Although it still preforms well thought I should buy a new one before it wears out. Purchased a high end Norelco shaver -- looked ultra modern and thought for its high price it would work well. Very disappointed -- took it back and bought the 4100 model. Better than the high end shaver but not as good as my old one.
It is a step up from my last Philips razor which was the basic. It is still not as good as the very old one which they replaced, also a Philips. It had small lights which told how charging was progressing. Shaving is better with this one than the basic model and I like the trimmer which was on the very old one.
I have had and enjoyed Norelco razors for years. I purchased this razor on 2/13/13. This morning, 4/21/13, as I began to shave and one of the blades and the surrounding piece fell off. After about 20 minutes I was able to get it reassembled and running. It now runs noisier than before and does not shave as well. Not a very good start for this product.
