I bought this item a week ago! 1 Week! It's already not working properly. The switch will not slide up to the high setting, and will not dry my hair on the low setting. Extremely disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My previous Conair blow curler worked great. After years of use, I had to replace it. When the new version heats up. The smell of plastic is overwhelming. I may have to invest in a different brand

Works to straighten hair not so good at curling

I like that it is dual voltage and that is the main reason I purchased this unit. It is a bit bulky to hold, but it works well. I like the location of the "air input/output" at the base; it is well away from your hand when holding it. There are 2 attachments. The small one has brush-like bristles and the large one has spikey bristles. If the spikey bristles were on the smaller diameter rod it would work better to grab the hair and curl it. As it is the barrel of the larger one is too large in diameter to get a good curl (at least in short to shoulder length hair). Both attachments function to dry and smooth the hair. If this is your goal then this should work for you.
