Am still getting accustomed to this shaver, but it definitely shaves closer than my previous foil type. I think it would work even better it the motor was more powerful.
i had the same kind of shaver years ago and wore it out, my wife bought me a different design for a gift and i didn't like it, so i went back to this design , this design is easy to clean , does a great job shaving and lasts a long time.
My second Philips shaver and I love it, my last one lasted 25 years with only one change of Batterys.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If I never had an older model Norelco I probably would have given this a better rating. My older model (Spectra 8845 XL) felt more solid. In addition it ran at a higher speed. The PT734 after a fresh charge, runs at the same speed my old razor ran when the battery is running low. The PT734 also takes much longer to charge. With that said, the PT734 still provides a good shave.
Would love to hear from someone who knows if there is a model that charges sooner and runs faster.
Pros: good shave., good shape.
Cons: takes too long to charge., runs as if it's losing the charge.
The PT734 is overall gives a smooth comfortable shave. However, it is really just a basic razor without too many extras. Previously I had a Philips Spectra 8894 XL that kind'a spoiled me with all the goodies it had , ( clean indicator , power meter etc. )
This product does not hold a candle to my old 6853 xl

I have had at least 4 Noreloc electrics in my life and this is the poorest one. I still use my old 6853 when I want a good shave but the battery will not hold a charge any more sdo I have too use it pluged in. This one is not easy to hold or turn on and the hinge on the head is very poor as it drops off when I try to clean it. A small thing but have you tried to pick up the head cover. I do not like the charger set up either. It does not have an exspandable cord and the plug- in is very clumsy.
