INCOMPATIBLE with Roomba 565

The lighthouse would be a great product, but it did not work with my Roomba 565 - even though it is advertised as a compatible accessory. Customer Service told me that new software/firmware installed on the 565 model would not recognize the lighthouses. The NEW software made it LESS compatible. I thought I had bought a good robot here, and I am not impressed that it has less functionality than I was initially led to believe. Adding insult to injury, Customer Service wanted me to pay for the shipping cost of the return. I spoke to a manager who finally agreed to send a prepaid shipping label, but one month and three phone calls later, I still have nothing.
Cons: Incompatible
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The lighthouse gives you the option of multi-room cleaning with great ease. I love that. The price that iRobot charges is ridiculous.
Pros: Dual function, Great option, Looks Professional
Cons: Excessive price, Poor value

Lighthouse is a guiding light for Roomba

I just got the Roomba 560 and didn't used the lighthouse immediately. The first thing I noticed was Roomba was all over the house. I popped a couple batteries in the lighthouse and Roomba was actually cleaning based on room (vs random). Also, it helps Roomba find its way home when it's low on charge. Great stuff!
Pros: Easy To Install, Easy To Use, Extends Functionality, Inconspicuous Design, Increases Performance

The solution to rooms with many doorways

This is my third Virtual Wall Lighthouse. Because I have multiple doorways in rooms, I have strategically set these up after experimenting with different placements. You may have to do the same thing. Once you get the placement right, your little robot friend will perform flawlessly on it's mission. There is a very good explanation on how these work on the Roomba Forums here. The Lighthouse is small and about unobtrusive as it could get.

I have it set to operate every other morning at 7:30 am. I pride myself on my cleaning, however the roomba gets in places I could'nt get to. It does the job and leaves me time to do other housework. My only problem with the roomba is I've come to depend on it very much.

Wish they came in black or brown

needs to come in naturals for the more common,"Boring" of households. Black or brown or even neutral color other than bright white would accomadate. Other than that, Love It! By the way, first one.
