Great telephoto

As the owner of a S1-IS I was attracted to the SX10 for its longer telephoto. I was instantly pleased with some long shots of wildlife. However, it is nowhere as user friendly as the S1 but I can live with it for the added flexibility.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, durable
Cons: Complicated controls/menu, Heavy/Bulky

I bought the sx10 a couple weeks ago and have been having fun playing with it. I love to take pictures outdoors in my garden especially the flowers,they are beautiful and the picutures are so life like.
I am so happy with the sx10. The 20x power is wonderful. I love the camera.Since I do scrap booking and print my own pictures they are great.
The only problem I have is while holding to take a picture my finger hits the microphone button all the time. I have to learn to hold it differently. I am learning.

very good camera

very good right out of box. I will need to practice with zoom as is comming out a little blurry but i think that is me not camera. I took a photo of a picture on my wall and no one could tell which was original and which was photo of photo. I have had for two months and am very happy!!!

Great Camera

I bought this camera in December 2008 as an upgrade from an older model Canon. This camera has a much stronger zoom and a great macro too. I looked at other brands, but due to features of this product, and prior experience with Canon digital and film cameras, I went with Canon and am glad I did.
Pros: easy to use, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality

we were searching for a camera of good price and value. found this camera and wife and i fell in love with it. easy to use and controls are easy to understand. we love how it zooms right in on what were shooting. the gentleman that showed us the camera was very informitive and he had one himself. excellent camera, cant say enough about it, would recommend it to anyone

great camera for almost every situation. don't really know how to say it anyway but the best camera for the money that i have seen!

AS A BEGINNER IN PHOTOGRAPHY, I CHOSE A CAMERA THAT WAS NOT A BEGINNER'S, BUT NOT A PROFESSIONAL'S. IN MY OPINION IT FALLS IN THE INTERMEDIATE PHOTOGRAPHERS RANGE. NOTHING BUT GOOD EXPERIENCES IN REGARDS TO USING ITS FUNCTIONS AND TAKING THE PHOTOS. THIS CAMERA IS FANTASTIC. I AM A CANON CAMERA PERSON FOR LIFE.
