Front lip melts when hot

Used the stove 3 times and 3rd time pan touched the front rim and it melted. Design flaw to not have a lip on front of surface that can get hot.

Overall good, but could be better

Decided to give a convection oven a try and settled on this Frigidaire unit. The unit fit perfect into the space we had our dying induction oven. The glass on top does not sit flush with the counter top (by design) and leaves a slight gap. No trim piece to keep crumbs or spills from getting in there is a bit annoying. The induction top works great. Takes a little while to get use to the odd sounds it makes. The air blowing out the front is a surprise. None of the exhaust is going to head up to the vent hood over the stove, so this ought to be fun the first time we burn something. The biggest disappointment was the noise from the convection fan. We replaced a convection oven and know how it sounds on our old over and friends ovens, but the new Frigidaire oven is much louder. Like something is wrong, but I see this is normal for this model. I can even hear it down the hall in the next room while watching TV. So not a fan of this fan - and it wouldn't be so bad if it only happened in convection mode, but this oven cycles thru the top element, bottom element and convection to heat up faster when you turn the oven on. So can't avoid the noise. I would not buy this unit again.

Cooks GREAT, drives my wife nuts.

My wife and I purchased this about a month ago for our kitchen remodel and finally were able to get it installed about a week ago. So far i'm amazed at how fast this thing boils water and how easy it is to control the temperature on the induction elements. My wife and I are both a little disappointed as to how much noise it makes when an induction element is on. We don't think it's the common pot vibration noise as this occurs even without pots or pans on the stove. It's a medium frequency, rather loud hum...almost the sound a big power line transformer makes.

Not quite as expected.

I bought this to replace my standard electric range. Although I'm new to Induction cooking this unit did not live up to my expectations in functionality. First off this unit is very loud for all cooking functions. From the Induction top when turned on with a loud hum (similar to loud transformers) to the convection oven fan that seems to vibrate and rattle a lot. Other things included as others mention is the cold fan that blows out the front for all Induction cooking and the convection fan that runs continuously after shutting the oven off blowing heat out into the kitchen. The oven timer alarm is piercing and loud as well. Even when I walk across the floor the oven racks rattle and this range is perfectly level. With the glass top it is impossible to keep clean as there is static electricity and it attracts/pulls in lots of dust particles. Every time you touch the top with hands, rags (even clean) or pans every thing just shows up (magnified if you have an overhead vent hood light). Imagine your smart phone screen trying to keep clean but ten times worse! As far as induction cooking goes I haven't used it much as I'm waiting on replacement cookware but that's a whole other topic and unrelated to the review of this product IMO. As the oven is concerned so far it hasn' t lived up to my expectation. Seems to have longer warm up times to reach the temp compared to my old unit and there are more button sequence pushes needed to make adjustments during use (Start and Stop needed to make temp changes or to go from convection to regular bake). Something to keep in mind this unit is semi custom meaning when you replace a standard slide in range you will need to take in consideration some possible modifications to your counter top layout. There will be a gap behind the unit so you will need to have a piece added or have a one piece counter top made for that area. I'll see how it goes as I use this more and give it a try but may end up going with something else so time will tell.

Love the induction!

I am still getting used to using my new stove as I've had it less than 3 months. Had never cooked with convection or induction before. I love the induction stove! Cooked with my cast iron dutch oven last night on the induction stove with parchment paper underneath to protect the glass top. Worked great! Induction feature works great with my regular pots & pans as well. Boiling water for tea in the kettle is faster than in the microwave! Have tried the convection feature a couple of times and still getting used to how long items should cook. My only compliant is the glass cooktop has a small gap as it sits slightly above the countertop. Perfect place for spills & crumbs to hide over time. Also the front part where the controls are has a little groove where crumbs gather as well. Both the oven & range make fan type of noises & blowing of air in front when in use, but it isn't awful. Overall, I'd buy this range/stove/oven again in a heartbeat.

I'm so glad I purchased an Induction Range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cooks fast! Easy to clean. Lots of useful features. I really enjoy cooking again without the mess of cleaning the "ins and outs' of burners and grates. The one flaw that I see is that the control panel is not water proof and will short out if a wet sponge is used on it.

Looks Great

Bought this two months ago and no issues to report. We like how it looks with all the controls in the front and doesn't have the high back like normal slide in ranges do. The only draw back was we found out that this was built to use a Quartz countertop and we had to make some minor adjustments for get our frameless floor cabinets to open without rubbing. The cooktop and oven work great. It has taken us some time to get use to using it correctly. It does work very close to how gas range works which we love.

Who knew?

So we have had our unit for about 4 months now and still can't believe how awesome it is. The induction system is so much better to cook on than our old glass top and the oven is great. We have roasted a couple of turkeys, pie, breads and several other things and everything comes out beautiful and evenly cooked. Imagine my surprise when the Thanksgiving 22 pound turkey cooked in 2 hours flat in convection mode, and came out juicy and flavorful. I can not recommend this unit any more
