Purchased my LG Dishwasher after hearing of and reading about the LG quality. What a mistake! Even after pre-washing dishes by hand they still come out splotchy and with greasy spots....does the dishwasher not empty itself after each cycle and reuse the same water? I've tried all the manufacturer-recommened products and used a cleaner inside the dishwasher to no avail, dishes and silverware are still unpredictably not clean. Sorry I purchased this one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet and excellent dish cleaning

We've had our dishwasher for about a month. We really like it. The only negative thing I can say is it is a little hard to get used to putting your glasses/stemware in correctly. Otherwise, the dishwasher cleans excellent and is very, very quiet. The flashing light informs you when it is running and when it is finished. This feature is very helpfull, especially when you have children.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

the interior is too dark, the exterior is tough to clean, every fingerprint shows, every drop of water streaks, the old Bosch I had--12 years old was quieter and much easier to load effectively, the dinnerware slots are too narrow, the separators just get in the way. This is making us seriously reconsider any other LG appliance purchases. The dishes are clean, but this is not a happy purchase for our family Too pricey for what we have settled for.
Pros: we like where the controls are locarted

Quiet, but doesn't clean well

I love how quiet the dishwasher is; I can hardly tell that it is running. I am disappointed in how gritty the dishes are coming out. I have tried different rinse aids, and different detergents, but it seems that the dishes are not getting rinsed clean.

Clean and quiet

My wife was real hesitant on buying this dishwasher with some of the reviews she read on a different sight. Not sure what those people were so down on,this dishwasher is the best we have ever had. The dishes come out super clean and the unit is really quiet. Only one thing I would change and that would be to have the green finish light stay on until the washer was unloaded.

Beautiful, Quiet and Streamlined

This is a gorgeous, very streamlined looking unit and extremely quiet. There is room for a ton of dishes but lacks enough space for several large casserole pans in addition to the regular dishes because of the close spacing of the tines. Be sure not to place anything in front of the detergent dispenser causing the dispenser not to open correctly.
The end of cycle clean light goes out after a few minutes so some in the family might not remember if dishes are clean or dirty.

This was installed today. looks good. first wash was quiet. Glasses were not sparkling, but that may be due to left over scum from out old dishwasher.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Great Dishwasher

Short and Sweet. I have owned this DW for only a few months and the word that comes to mind is AWESOME. Dishes come out super clean and I barely hear it running. I had to open the door a few times to see if it was actually working. I am keeping my fingers crossed since I read the Consumer Reports Article after I bought the DW that they are prone to breakdowns more than 25 % repairs. Hope not.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, super quiet
