This oven is perfect in so many ways.. It looks sexy in my kitchen and the sleek cooktop is easy to clean. It boils water quickly and makes the perfect scrambled egg because the burner will heat/relax properly. This is a smart, sexy oven. I love it. I used to never cook for my family, and now I cook all the time!

perfect for any kitchen

I have been a custom home builder for over 20 years. this whirlpool drop in range will work in every application. the size is perfect for any kitchen. in new construction and remodeling. if you are looking to replace or upgrade I recommend all of the whirlpool products. I like the options on my whirlpool drop in range. the dual zone heating means I can use up to four of the same size pans and I can only heat the area I need. the cooktop is easy to clean and the oven is larger than other comparable models. it looks good in all types of kitchens as well. you will not be disappointed with whirlpool products.

Circuit Board Issues

I bought this drop in range about 6 years ago. It has a problem in the oven control circuit board that has caused the display to go blank when you press the Bake button. Power resets have worked in the past, but now it is stuck with a clock display and the none of the buttons will work at all. Power reset will not work now. Looks like I'm going to have to pay for repairs even though it's been this way since new. Problem would never show itself when the dealer I purchased from was onsite to inspect.1 of the cook top thermostats doesn't work well either. At the lowest setting, it will sometimes come on and stay on until food burns.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

works great, finish does not hold up

Range and oven work great, no complaints, never needed a service call. I cook a lot. wish the oven was bigger. Plastic touch pads have all cracked and the painted (black) finish around the control panel all the paint is peeling off. The oven light bulb is very hard to reach when you need to change it, should be on the side of oven, not way in the far back top corner. Cleaning cycle works good takes a long time and it smells up the whole house for days after.

balanced heat

all units distribute heat evenly. The oven cooks at a constant temperature. Keep warm is an excellent feature.

Nice looking stove. Had a drop-in and wanted to replace with a drop-in even though we had to do work to make this stove fit space. Easy to operate. Bakes very well. Burners don't heat up as fast as my old stove but am adjusting to the difference. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
