It was about time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Best home decision I made in a long time. Replaced my 25 year old White drop in with this. WOW... I love everything about it. the burner knobs are easy to understand, programming the OVEN is a breeze. IT JUST LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. Yes, Facebook friends and Neighbors love this oven.

New Range

I have had the range a couple of weeks.This was the only 30" model black with coil elements I could find.. I needed this style to replace my old range. I do a lot of canning. The burners run extra hot, but the large burner is only 8 inch.The oven temperature is true at the second level. I found that I needed to give it a bit more time to preheat than at it's buzzer says. The timer rings only once where I would like it to continue until I respond. The range and I are still getting to know each other.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This Range is an Excellent Product

We purchased an electric range and it was delivered within a day. After modifing the cabinet, we installed it. Instructions are excellent. However, when we tried to use the oven, it would not heat. A call to Whirlpool was very productive and within a day we received a call from the local repair shop. A new computer board was installed and the range works great. We would consider Whrilpool again.

Expensive but Functions Well

Compared to other styles of ranges, this drop-in was very expensive.Things I liked about it are:The oven light does not come on, when the door is opened. This was a waste of energy in my old oven, when I left the door open after baking to let the oven cool down.The range elements heat quickly and cool down quickly.The oven heats evenly making it unnecessary to rotate food midway through cooking.The range controls are up front rather than on the back of the oven. On an oven with the controls at the back, my wife would be at risk of setting her clothing on fire reaching over the elements to operate the controls.What I do not like about it:While using the oven, the display shows the oven temperature rather than the clock. With my old oven, I got used to gauging times by glancing at the clock on the oven. This is a small issue. I can easily adjust to it.The range elements and the pans below them fit the range rather loosely. So they tend to slide a bit while in use. So far, this has not been a big issue.

Nice range

Not many drop in ranges available but this was a good choice. It fit better in the space than the drop in it replaced. Instructions are easy to read and accurate. Oven and broiler are great.

Drop-in range

I love this range! It would be nice if the top could be raised up for cleaning. This is not a deal breaker, however. Easy to install. Check height of your existing range. I had to fabricate a new range panel under it. Very nice range!
