16 years and I am a happy customer

I have had this dryer for 16 years. Last weekend it stopped working. I took it apart and gave it a good cleaning and when I put it back together, it worked again. I just had an extra spring (very small one) laying in the bottom. That is why I came here to find a parts manual. I am 68 years old.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the Maytag Centennial washer and dryer set and needless to say the washer broke within first 6 months then again a year later. Right now I have had them for about 4 1\2 yrs and neither one of them are working and I am stuck with them!! First new set I have ever owned and my last! I am a single disabled 54 yr old mother who lives in a 3rd floor apartment and I can't even do my laundry! Thanks alot for these junk appliances that I thought would have lasted the rest of my life. Which I won't be around very long and its not going to even last till then... So sad!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overheats and Fails After 1 Year

This dryer burnt out after only one year. It would over heat, burn out, and stop producing warm air. Upon inspection it appeared the power cord connection had caught fire as the terminal had burn marks. I replaced the heat sensor and power cord twice, but it kept doing the same thing and failing after a few months. I finally got rid of the dryer because it was not worth the money, time and effort to fix this dryer. Very disappointing purchase. Big ticket items should last longer than one year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This dryer is reliable, we’ve had it for for years and got it secondhand for my aunt who has had it for years before we received it, it has only now stop heating up. If I can’t repair it; I’ll be buying the same one
