The Perfect Choice

I based this purchase solely from the specs, price, and the few reviews I found on this tv. I feel like I could not have made a better choice. Setup was easy, color/picture was almost perfect out of the box, HD cable looks great, and my xbox 360 looks and performs great on this tv. I was a little worried about lag playing online games with an lcd, but I cannot detect any difference between the Sharp LC46e77u and playing on my Song vega 32" CRT. The unit itself is very easy on the eye, bezel and stand looks great and are gloss black, the champagne color you see at the bottom in the pictures is no where near as "loud" as it looks, in person it is very subtle and elegant looking; I think it's a nice touch to otherwise just another boring black tv. I knew SD channels wouldn't look great on an HDTV but they are better than I expected them to be. I cannot vouch for the over the air tuner or the speakers because I am not using either of these features. All in all I believe I made a great decision to go with Sharp and will recommend this tv to everyone I know.
Pros: Gaming, Music & Movies, hdtv, all around bad-assery

Sharp is the best!

I searched local retail stores for TV's and came back to Dell for my new Sharp Aquos 46" TV.
We love it!
The picture quality of a Sharp is in my opinion the very best on the market.
I bought the 32" first and regretted not getting the larger so moved it into my 5th wheel travel trailer and bought this one, its perfect! Easy to reach side USB connects and easily hung on my Chief Wall connector with all in wall wiring so no unsightly cords. Absolutely love it.

I can see how much I appreciate this TV. The picture is amazing. 120HZ is super easy on eyes. The color is so much better than the other popular Brand I previously owned. It great to watch sports especially the car racing. The only thing I noticed that was the sound, it is good, clear but not very loud. I would recomand you to hook this TV to a sound system if you want to get the best sound result. By the way, the set up is so easy.

Can't go wrong

Had this almost a month now, and the picture still amazes me. Had friends over for the Super Bowl and they were very impressed.
What's great about it: Picture is awesome. No glare. Easy to get best picture.
What's not so great: Throws a lot of heat.

A great product for the price I paid.

Dell did a great job getting my order to me when they said they would.
What's great about it: Connectivity options - More then enough. Several HDMI which is all I needed.
Menu system - Fluid, many options, easy to use and very intuitive.
After tweaking for some time the picture is fantastic.
Blacks are near perfect. One of the more important points of this set. Better then Toshiba, Hitachi and Sony. Period / Paragraph.
Contrast is OK. But could be better.
The stand is very nice and easy to assemble.
Shipped in a very easy to work with container/box.
I've attached it to a Marantz SR8001 with a Panasonic Blu-Ray player, Denon DVD player, and of course the Mintek DVD player for all the RIP's. :)
Infinity speakers all around except the sub which is a Minivee Velodyne.
It works perfect and is suited perfect for this system.
What's not so great: The IR window is in the center front bottom. This means you can't put a center channel there. It must either go on something under the TV or above the TV.
The color is not very good out of the box. It takes some tweaking to get it just right.
Picture levels, Brightness, contrast, etc... also require some tweaking from defaults. This is not just me ranting. I've read several reviews on the product prior to buying and was expecting this but not to the degree I saw. It is pasty, dull and chromatic out of the box. For a 120hz, 4ms, screen from Sharp of all people this should have been a near perfect picture out of the box.

This is my second Sharp Aquos I've bought from Dell in the last year and I absolutely love it! I now have a 42" and now this 46" and they truly have the most crystal clear picture I've seen.
The Dell support and Sharp support teams have been excellent. Registering your Sharp Aquos also gets you an additional 3 months of warrant service so I highly recommend people go through the process. It's easy!
I highly recommend Sharp and Dell!

What's great about it: This is my first HDTV, and my first large TV. We purchased the 46" Aquos. Very pleased with picture. Price was excellent, with free shipping and no interest for a year. Considered Sony, but was unwilling to pay the higher prices.
What's not so great: Little difficult to find optimum settings, but after we did, everything else has been a breeze.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is a great tv i did not get it from dell in doing research online i bought this directly from sharp for $500.00 cheaper about april this has the best picture out of all the other brands. i was in best buy and was walking towards the wall of big screen tv,s. as i was checking out the pictures this one stood out from them all sharp really did a good job on this tv.
