great choice, but..

When I bought this player, I thought it was cutting ege. It was, but not for long. I'm not sure, but I think maybe some of the features available with newer units like the bd390 could be added without having to buy a whole new player. Why not even offer the upgrades for a small fee?
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

Failed to Work After Software Upgrade

After the component automatically upgraded to include Youtube functionally, my LG Blu-Ray player would not play regular DVDs or CDs. I will not buy another LG product.

Owned for just over a year and it has worked OK; however, there was a glitch after a firmware upgrade in which the unit would no longer play DVDs, required service at a qualified dealer (in my case 1+hours away). Now, it is having difficulty playing Blu-Rays (Disney in particular, without scratches), not sure what the problem is...
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings

Great product. Looks clean, runs great. It was very irritating to have to stop and go buy a cord after only owning it for two months to update it, before watching the movie I bought.

Just bought two of these based on past experience with LG Blu-ray players. This is a great player. Fast loading, excellent picture and sound quality. It's worth the price just for VUDU!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design, vudu
Cons: no backlit remote

I am surprised to pick this up, I was trying the netflix streaming from my pc and got tired of it. This unit is the asnswer, I wanted a Blue Ray player and got a bonus..

An Outstanding piece of equipment

I was a little unsure of this providing quality video using the streaming feature but not anymore. This is so easy to use and most always gives great quality presentations of the videos I select on Netflix. As far as the quality of the Blu-ray it is also quite impressive. Great buy and I would definitely recommend it.

Decent - wishing software updates brought more

This player is a decent BluRay player and was great for Netflix. Unfortunately, a couple of month after I bought it, it was discontinued and it hasn't gotten any of the netcast features.
It's also missing the ability to stream content from a network drive.
Otherwise, it's an easy to use device that should work for most people only looking to add Netflix and YouTube to their online entertainment experience.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use
Cons: Features/Settings, not getting updates
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
