What is the purpose?

Just go for cross screwdriver, it will be much more useful than this.
It can't be fitted on thumb screw when using media mod or floaty - which for me are the only reasons you want any kind of key as these need to unscrew camera from mount to change the battery but there's no space for fingers to tighten thumb screws well when using these.

I'm really surprised there wasn't even one person in GoPro development team to try tightening screws when using media mod or floaty and than they came up with this "tool".

Great tool! Good for activity’s with lots of impact or vibration. It can’t tighten any thumb screws when using the floaty though…

Great tool, but I wish for a new/updated tool to help me tighter the screw when I use the Media Mod for my Hero 9.

Tool works great. Makes tightening and loosening handy. Only wish was that it worked on every GoPro thumb including the small ones. Besides that love it. Every go pro user should have one.

I'd recently purchased the GoPro 9 along with several other accessories. One of them being the Media Mod, but I found the thumbscrew hard to tighten once the Media Mod was attached. So I placed another order for the Tool. It doesn't fit once the Media Mod is fitted and never will!
Shouldn’t you say that it doesn’t fit the GoPro 9 with the Media Mod attached? So people like myself are not misled?
