Great features in a watch for the price.

This is my second Ironman watch. I have the same problem with my second purchase, the band breaks within months of purchase. I have seen the same complaint for years without any improvement from Timex. I'm sure Timex has embraced the Total Quality Management concepts-quality vs quantity, continueous process improvemen, value added customer feedback to improve product. If you don't listen to your customers regarding product defects you will lose them. Its that simple. Recommend you elevate this customer complaint to those empowered to implement product improvement. It this will be my last purchase unless I see the defect corrected.

Great Watch - Poor Watchband

I love the watch and it's lightweight design. I have worn this style for at least a decade. The drawback is that the resin watchband fails after about 16 months and you cannot repair the watch or replace the band. You must send the watch back to Timex with pymt. and they will replace the watch. Cust. Svc. is wonderful, but Timex needs to revisit materials for this band. I have gone through about 5 of this model, but I still love it.

Good watch.. Bad strap.

I like the trim look, and good style. Has all the features I need without being bulky, and is also easy to read. Strap broke after only 1 1/2 years. Because strap is integrated into the watch, it then has to be sent back to the factory.

Band Consistently fails

Third watch I've had, first one at about 12 months the band broke. Of course it can't be replaced so sent into Timex with repair fee and they sent a new watch. While waiting I found a great deal on the watch and bought one more as back up. Since then, after about another 18 months the part that secures the loose band to the other band broke, they don't offer just that piece so one watch unusable, started wearing the second back-up watch and at about 12 months the same piece broke. I now have two watches that work perfectly fine but don't have a band to keep then loose bands secure. I use a rubber band or other thing I made to do it but it looks like I'm cheap and can't wear a watch in one one piece. FRUSTRATING!

Gave Up After Two

Got my first as a Christmas gift from my brother (he bought in store). Within the first month the backlight stopped working. Decided not to take it back since there were similar reviews and I workout most during daylight. Watchband started to separate after 2 years (happy it made it that long compared to other reviews!) and finally started fogging and died. Got another as a replacement (bought online) since I loved the look/fit and the watch functions. Within 2 months, the band started to separate and worse than the first watch. After 1 year, the face fell off and it was completely destroyed and unusable. Very frustrating for such a likeable watch!

Best lightweight Ironman - but band doesn't last

I am like 90% of other reviewers. On my 4th watch like this - in each instance, either the keeper splits or the band breaks. I can then no longer use my watch on a daily basis (with a suit). Otherwise, I love it - don't know I have it on (so light).

I am super enthused with this watch! I really don't want to take it off, even during sleep. The best qualities are the fact it's super light weight, non cumbersome and breathable (something you don't often hear about watches). The spaces in between the rubber that allow air in are well designed. I had worn the Timex Ironman® Sleek 50 Full-Size and Ironman® Classic 100 Full-Size before this model but don't see myself going back even though I don't have anything negative to say about those models. There are features that I have not used yet and may not simply because I just use the watch to tell time and occasionally for an alarm. Please read other reviews/item description regarding the more advanced functions. I am confident the product will hold up long term but have only owned it for a short time so I cannot say anything about the durability.

Timex is not listening to their customers. I have three of these watches ALL have broken bands. They broke regularly at about one year. It was needed for a big race and broke 4 days before. The watch is very nice ,but would never recommend it until Timex fixes the problem.
