Impossible to turn off alarm!
on November 10, 2016

I just set an alarm on my watch and cannot disable it. I've read the manual, and the steps it tells you to take were not applicable- it said to press start/split to turn off the alarm, and that just cycles through whichever option I'm on (i.e. daily, weekdays, weekends). Ive had this problem in the past, and it's always been a huge pain to figure out how to turn off the alarm. It shouldn't be this difficult! I've just spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out. My other complaint is that the watch face scratches easily from accidentally bumped your wrist against other objects.

Hi there,
We are sorry you are having trouble with your alarm! When the time is showing, press the MODE button until the alarm option shows. Wait 1-3 seconds, and then the alarm time will show. Press START/SPLIT and this will turn the alarm to "off." Press the MODE button again to return to the time. If you have any questions, please contact us at 1-800-448-4639 or custserv@timex.com, and we would be happy to assist you further.

I had this watch for about two years and wore it every single day before the band finally broke. I used to have an Ironman 50, but I didn't need all the memory anymore for track workouts, so I got this one as a replacement. (This watch doesn't store multiple workouts, but you can view the laps of the one you just finished.)This watch is perfect for the active woman who also wants to wear her Ironman casually. I had the green color, which was a bright lemon-lime, and yes, it did get dirty quickly and I never found a way to clean the band. This was probably my least favorite thing about the watch. The band is very slim for the face, as an early reviewer said, but it actually is a great look--slim and feminine. As I said, the band finally broke, but eventually so did the wider band of my old Ironman 50! With daily wear, and sweat, and swim, it is bound to happen eventually. If it's possible to replace the band, you could probably have this watch forever!

I have had my timex ironman watch since I was twelve and it has never needed a battery change ever. I am 17 now, and it still works! I am a swimmer and triathelete and I have swam with it and raced with it all the time! Super Impressed with it! My dad bought it for me when I was 12. What a great investment! Buy it.

I love this watch. However, as others have attested, after only 2 years, the band broke. I don't see how it can be replaced which means I need to buy a new watch. Very disappointed.

The functions and water resistance held up great. The band however, was not as tough as the rest of the watch. This would not be a problem except replacement bands are impossible to find.

I have only had my watch for 3 years and only wear it 4 days a week. One day the watch just fell off my wrist. I looked at the band and it was as if someone sliced a clean cut through the band. I work in front of a computer there are no sharp objects near me. Where can I get a new band???????

Tough and long lasting!

I work out doors and I found out quick things don't hold up well in this profession. I bought this watch 3 1/2 years ago ( possibly 4 ) and the battery just stopped working yesterday. I have had busted face plates and broken bands many of times. This one has some scratches, fading and wear, but is still readable, wearable, and functional ( with a new battery ). Yesterday was the first time I ever took the watch off other then cleaning. I highly recommend this watch for any outdoor/active lifestyle!
