While I love the physical appearance and some of the features of this product, it began to make very loud groaning noises after about a year and a half. Have had over $1000 in parts and labor in an effort to correct to no avail. I can hear it on the third floor of my house and it is on the first floor. Utterly ridiculous for something costing as much as this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We haven't had this for long, one week or so but man this thing is fantastic. It was cool enough to put our food back in no time. The temp control drawers are great. I had to tweek the fridge doors and the freezer doors because the delivery guys didn't know how, now it's perfect. it has more room then we know what to do with, way more then our old side by side. The ice maker works awesome fast but does drip. The pay off is ok with me. we've even put vacation pictures on it, nice little feature. Enjoy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite appliance in the house! I love it! I love the touchscreen and that it tells me if my kids keep it open for long periods of time. Thre freezer capacity is wonderful! Love the pull down shelf....it wz a nice surprise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having had good experience with GE appliances in the past, we naturally turned to GE when it was time to upgrade to a long- awaited French door refrigerator. The gadget factors - notably in-door ice, cold water, and hot water dispenser - led us to the Cafe model. Factor in loads of adjustable storage space with tons of room, and we have a fridge the whole family loves. Now we just have to load up some photos to the control panel slide show display! What dimension GIFs to use?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all we have only had our refrigerator 1 week. We just remodeled our kitchen about 6 months ago and we like the stainless steel. We love the cafe style, very roomy inside and the brightness of the inside makes it easy to find what you need. We had a noise issue but GE promptly sent a service tech out to install a noise kit witch will be installed in a few days. We previously had a french style with and arched front but the cafe has a flat front that looks so much better in our newly remodeled kitchen. We still gave a 5 star rating even with the noise issue because GE Is sending someone promptly to fix the noise issue.
