over all good unit

I have found that the door latch to lock the unit does not secure the door, the door can still open about 3/8 of an inch in the locked position. In the few months that I have had this unit it already needs to be defrosted. (NOT GOOD)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Right size, Right features

The freezer has been a valued part of our family since I bought it in July. The only thing I would do differently is to have added the frost-free feature.

I love this freezer, spacious space, cheap price

I just bought this freezer and I am so happy with it. The space is really big enough to store many things in so many different shapes and types of boxes. It is also quiet when it is working. I almost could not hear any noise. Importantly, the price is so low. It is really a very good deal with this product.

Lots of door storage, nice bottom slide out basket

We bought this freezer to replace a 20 year old one that was frosting up too much. It's hard to find a freezer that's not automatic defrost. I prefer a freezer I can clean myself because the food will last MUCH, MUCH longer and I do clean it more often to see what's in there :-)

Loads of space

Bought this in Dec 2013 and so far, it's been doing great. The only negative is that there's already a bit of ice forming inside, probably from opening and closing it often. But I guess that's normal.

Great Features on GE Freezers

I have 3 GE Freezers and I like the shelving and arrangement in the stand up-right freezers I can see at a glance when I open the door the products that I am looking for and not have to hunt and search for a long time.
