I had a very old printer. This one is wonderful. I have 2 IBM's and a MAC. everyone can print on it from anywhere if the house. advancements in technology are wonderful.

Adequate for Light Home Use

The printer does an adequate job of printing, copying and scanning. I have not tried the fax function.
I like the duplex function. It works well for printing and copying, but is not available for scanning two-sided documents.
I am disappointed in the LC103 "High Yield" cartridges. They have not met the advertised quantity of printings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best printer we've ever had

This is a wonderful, hassle-free scanner/printer. As promised, it was easy to set-up and only took about 30 minutes. It has never failed to function and the copies are crystal clear. We had a Lexmark printer before but this Brother beats the competition hands down. Thanks for a terrific piece of equipment. Also, the reason we bought it is because of the excellent customer reviews. The more people who can read good reviews, the more likely they will buy your products. Finally, your follow-ups after we bought the printer come everyday. You want to know how it's doing, do we need any supplies, would you like to try another product? This level of customer service is amazing and another reason we're glad we bought a Brother. Thanks for everything!

Easy to use all-in-one printer, scanner, copier and fax machine.
The installation, set up, was simple.

This machine was purchased to replace one that I'd had earlier for about a year. I was very happy with the productivity except for the fact that the Magenta wouldn't print recently. The new machine worked approximately one month then the black ink head needed to cleaned constantly. The cost of ink made me choose another printer. I have since purchased a MFC-J5910DW and no problems thus far.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
