Just want it to work

When this printer works, it's great. But it doesn't consistently work which leaves us stranded with no printer. It often quits printing in the middle of a job with no explanation so it can be remedied. On the other hand, when it works is pumps right out and gets the job done. Copying is extremely slow. I would not want this as an office printer. This printer does work beautifully with the Kindle, though.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very good printer for the price

Does everything I need. I seldom print pictures. Like that it is wireless and easy to use. Like the tray for scanning multiples at one time. Like that I can also do magazine articles on the flat bed. Also like the double sided feature which was the main thing plus wireless that I was looking for.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Next Best Thing

My first choice in printers was a brand that was on sale, but it was outta stock. And I needed a printer immediately! So I opted for what I thought was the "next best thing", the Brother MFC-J475DW. After my first few copies were printed however I was pleasantly surprised by the MFC's speed, clarity, and user friendly nature. I won't be considering another brand in the future should I decide to upgrade!
