I love my new printer. I print wireless and no need to turn on and off its does it automatically. really quiet and prints on both sides which saves paper when printing manuals. The price is amazing for the features. I think its great.

Great printer, easy to use

This was the first Brother printer I've purchased, and now I see why they have such good ratings. It has done everything well.
Setup for wireless printing was easy - even though I've avoided setting up a home network for infosecurity reasons. I can print from any wireless PC in the house, even though my PC settings do not allow data sharing. (Maybe I'm a little paranoid about wireless hackers...)
Ink for this printer is less expensive than for other brands. But the initial ink is still going strong months after I started using the MFC-J475DW. Cost of operation looks like it will be very low.
There are only two things I would change if I could: 1. The paper tray doesn't hold all that much paper - I would guess less than 100 sheets. 2. The Brother software is good, but not quite as good as the software Canon used to provide. So my experience: Brother has a much better printer, and slightly poorer software. All in all, though, I think I'm a Brother customer to stay.

I worked in IT for 24 yrs. starting in 1986. We still maintain a Network at home since I retired. I've had 20 (?) or more home printers and this is a dependable workhorse.
I advise you to buy a Brother printer if you are shopping.

Outstanding Pringer

I love this wireless printer. I have several devices that I print from, and with a keystroke from anywhere in the house a clear, sharp copy results. Great product.

Inexpensive all in one

It takes a little getting used to, after using an Epson printer, but overall it performs well. The price paid was very fair considering ink replacement was nearly the cost of a new machine.

PRO: A good inexpensive In-jet printer, easy to setup, very good Color rendition and good quality printing..
CON: printer has a Good network card for Wi-Fi, but no way to Hard wire Network card to Computer other than Wireless Wi-Fi
iPrint&scan works good from Cell phone (Galaxy S5) via W-Fi or the Cloud but no provision for (NFC) with this printer that other iPrint apps use

YOUR INK CARTRIDGES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE & AND LOCAL SUPPLIERS KEEP VERY SMALL SUPPLIES OF BROTHER ITEMS AS TOO COSTLY AND NOT MANY CALLS FOR ITEMS. THE COST FOR THE CARTIRIDGES ARE JUST TOO

I did not need a new printer but I could not pass up the great value of this all-in-one printer. I am so glad I did. It is a tremendous find and does everything well. I gave away my old printer...
