This has been a great printer. We moved across country it is fine. Uses much less ink then all the HP's I used to buy. Yes I do recommend it to my friends.

Ok for regular printing

Printer was fairly easy to set up and link to my wireless router. Linking my smartphone was a little tricky, but finally got it to work. Printing documents and web pages was easy and quick.
CON
Printing pictures is a pain. The photo paper goes in the same tray as the regular paper, so if you are using 4x6 or 5x7 you have to remove the paper and set the guide tracks for the photo.
Then you have to set the software for the size and type of picture you want, and then hope that it works - often doesn't.
Finally, the printer eats ink, and the ink is expensive.

I like the printer because it is WiFi friendly. I've had to contact the support division and they were great in walking me through my questions. They then sent a copy of the paperwork to my email so if I ran into the problem again I would have the step by step procedure to correct it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works well for the price point, except that printing individual envelopes is a bit of a hassle. The individual ink catridges are a big plus over my old HP.

Before I purchased this printer, I was using another brand for years and now I feel that this Brother printer by far is superior to my previous printer.
I have not had any problems at all with my Brother Printer.
