Bit of a shocker

My WorkForce 30 has operated faithfully and as designed for the better part of a year yet, I still get unnerved by the racket it makes when it starts to print every page. It sounds like the entire machine is coming apart or something.
This needs to be re-engineered out of the WorkForce 30. My other inkjet printers do not do this!

It was the easiest printer to install even though I am a novice at doing this type of thing. It prints really fast and well. I was pleased how natural photos come out. The only negative it's a little noisy, but since I will not use it often, I can deal with that. In my opinion it's a great machine for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good little noise maker

I have been completely satisfied with it's performance, have as yet not
experienced any problems with it and expect it to just keep on doing it's job.

The only minor downside to this machine is that it is pretty noisy
when it first starts printing. I think it's the way it grabs the paper.
It is startling at first but you get used to it in no time.

Workforce 30 = Epson Advantage

Have been buying Epson printer products (and scanners) since late 90's and have never been dissapointed (Stylus Photo EX, Stylus Photo R380, Perfection 4490...). The Workforce 30 is a great affordable, highly efficient printer that gets the job done fast with quality detailed outputs. Inks are archival fade resistant and the double black hi-capacity cartridge configuration saves time and money. Epson Quality build in a very affordable printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If I had know that all the color cartridges had to be used in order to print just black text I would not have purchased the printer. I have had other printers that run just with the black cartridges in them. If you want just a black printer, this is not the printer for you.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

at first i was not getting it connected and wondered was it damaged goods. I then tried a new USB port cord and it worked fine - but software didn't connect it - if it had something that told me it may be a bad cord it would have been cool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Haven't had much time to check out this good looking machine as I just received it. I've printed a few pages and find it to work flawlessly but quite noisy upon printing (actually when it 'grabs' the paper to insert it for printing). I plan on using this printer with PrintFab in order to adjust ink usage (even though there seems to be a way of doing it with the application supplied--just not as easy). Hopefully Epson will provide a means (as apparently is has for other printers) to operate this printer in a quiet means.
I would recommend this to a friend!
