My R1900 does not perform anywhere near my former R340. Constant "clogged heads' and extremely expensive to clear . I really wish I hadn't made this purchase, but, now do not know how to get back to predictable results and more reasonable cost! I am really upset with my new Epson Stylus R1900!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is obviously more printer than I need. I have used it for over a year now... Still have not got the knack of certain things I need to do with it...Perhaps in my down time I can learn them...However, this thing rocks.... great colors of what I see on the screen to what I see on the print. I do have my screens calibrated via Spyder2. It does love ink... like all printers.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I gave the printer 5 stars, however, my one regret, if cartride runs out of ink, and you've no replacement on hand, the printer is inoperable.

R1900 printer

I have owned this printer a little over a month now getting great results.....The only problem that I have had at this point is a couple of times the printer didn't recognize ink cartridges.....even though the cartridge was brand new, I would have to replace it with another.....that can get abit pricey especially since the cartridges are smaller.
Much faster than the R1800 which I had previously.....They are both great printers along with the Epson R800 I own as well.

I do beleave that this is my 6th printer and of all the other printers I have owned Epson 1900 is the BEST of them all. I would recommend this printer if you are in need of a Great Photo printer, so if you are in need of good printer buy this one.

Excellent Printer for the home

I purchased this printer for my personal use. I like to print photos that I've taken with my digital DSLR. I printed several photos and took them to my camera club meeting. The quality was the best of all others that were brought. My only problem is the small ink tanks. For the price and wonderful quality, I'll just have to live with the tank size for now.

ink cartridges

Has anyone out there had any problems with the ink cartridges? I have 5 new cartridges on my desk that the printer will not recognize. I have had this problem twice in the past. When the printer will work the photos are excellent, the best I have had from any printer. It is excellent in every way, except the fact the cost of bad cartridges makes it cost prohibitive.
