Great Photo Printer

This printer produces great color and black & white photos. With the rebate it was an awesome price. The wide format and choice of paper types gives it the flexibility I needed for my projects. I'm no longer getting off-color photos. I really like the fact that the ink cartridges can be replaced individually and not all have to be replaced at once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

EPSON R1900 Rocks!

I purchased this photo printer to replace an all-in-one low cost printer after the print head died. Since I was becoming more serious about my photography, I was looking for a dedicated photo printer and this fit right in. It was the right size, the right price, and I had heard nothing but good things about EPSON.
So far I have printed about a dozn. 5x7s and a dozn. 8x10s and, after doing a little research about color management and image resizing, I have not been disappointed with anything that this printer has produced. For the first time, I even had someone offer to buy some of my prints. A family member could not believe I had printed some shots because the gloss was lab-quality.
The printer was a snap to set up, download was flawless, and there have been no problems with paper handling. Colors are clear and match my monitor. I used to run test prints in order to avoid wasting photo paper - that is a thing of the past.
I've owned several photo printers and the Epson R1900 is by far the best. It's a beautiful thing when you can sit at home and produce lab-quality prints.

I just set up the printer to print Christmas cards using one of my paintings. Color accuracy is great! I am looking forward to doing more printing of my art work in large formats.

I have never had a dedicated photo printer until I purchased the R1900. It was easy to set up right out of the box. Though I did not realize the physical size was a larger than I expected give yourself some extra room to set it up. I use a Mac and the software was no problem to get results as advertised. I did have to change some settings to get the results as I liked. I tried 5 x 7, 8 x 10 and 81/2 x 11 prints all came out with stunning results. The paper feed works great with the proper photo paper of course. In my opinion a superior photo printer for the semi pro to the home user. The rebate helps as well.

I've had an Epson printer for about 15 years. It's finally starting to go. It still prints documents but not photos well. I did some research on different printers, even other brands, but I kept coming bak to Epson. I am very impressed with my new R1900 printer so far. I didn't realize prints could look so go. I can't wait to print on canvas!!!!

I upgraded from the R1800, which has been a reliable workhorse for many years. The R1900 was easy to setup, and prints in true, vibrant colors if the correct paper is used. Much improved skin-tone color. A disappointment was that a USB cord necessary to connect the printer to a computer was not included in the box.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Upgraded from my R1800. Good prints as usual with Epson. I have a photo restoration business and sell prints from the machine.
However, the R1900 goes thru more cleaning cycles than the R1800--NOTICEABLY more.
It just grates on me that THEY decide it needs a cleaning cycle, not ME. Course, I probably wouldn't dump as much ink down the drain either.
