Prints beautiful pictures. Occasionally goes off line and you have to delete the printer and re install everything. A BIG pain

great pics - clogs

Be aware that if you do not use the printer for a couple of weeks or longer the print heads will clog. The output is 5 Stars. I went through an entire set of ink cartridges trying to get the heads cleaned. It just kept getting worse not better. Epson stands behind their products. I have to send it to a service center to be unclogged. It is really the only negative aspect of the printer. Print often.

great replacement

I've used Epson printers for 15 years. The R1900 is a replacement for my worn-out R1800. I received the new printer today, plugged it in, downloaded the driver and went to work printing photos, documents and checks (Quickens). It was a smooth, flawless transition.
It's too soon to tell how well the R1900 will perform, but if its predecessors are any indication, it should do just great.

My recent purchase of an Epson Stylus Photo R1900 Ink Jet printer is the third one I have bought. Quality of photographs with Epson paper is excellent. I have had other printers and, for the money, this is the best. I have two in operation. Inks and paper are easy to get via web site ordering and quick delivery to my in-home office. I print selected images of agricultural, veterinary, and athletic activities.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good printer

The Epson Photo R1900 printer was easy to set up and already the first prints were of good quality. The R1900
is not built as well as the lettersize Epson Photo R800.
Some of the cartridges did not fit smoothly. Having said
that, the print quality is very good and adequate for photographic exhibitions and commercial work.
The print size of the R1900 is larger than the lettersize
print of the R800. Therefore, I expected the cartridges of the R1900 to be larger. Surprisingly, the R1900 has smaller cartridges than the R800!

A Great Printer

I have used Epson printers for the last 10 years and am very pleased with the print quality. I print pressed flower designs and people are always touching the flowers because they look like they are on top of the paper, not printed on. The speed of the R1900 is the fastest one I've had yet and there is no loss of quality. I love that I can intensify my color results easily and everything about the printer is simple to use.

Smooth sailing

I've only printed two photos but am thrilled with the ease with which the printed worked. It's virtually silent and very smooth. The color however, isn't exactly as viewed in my program nor in my camera.

My reflections on my new Epson Stylus Photo R1900

I have only received the shipment of my new printer 10 days ago or so. From the perspective of appearance it is impressive. It's a beautiful hunk of machine. I have not had the opportunity to work with it as much as I will in time. I think I will like it. My only concern is with focus in copying/printing photos. I'm not certain that the focus is as sharp as it needs to be for photos. If someone at Epson can lead me to sharpen that, then the Photo R1900 will receive a revised rating of 5 stars. I'll wait and see if Epson responds.
