G 73 Electric Garage Heater

We installed a G 73 heater in our two car garage in order to keep that space more comfortable during the cold winter months. This unit is compact, was easy to mount has an adjustable thermostat and operates quietly and efficiently. We recently had an issue with the heating element and the Newair customer service department was extremely helpful to help us resolve the issue. There are scores of garage heaters on the market to choose from and we feel that we made a wise choice!
I would recommend this to a friend!

GREAT LITTLE HEATER!!

I've had this for about 5yrs. now, and it is a great heater. My garage is 600 sq. ft. not insulated, but it is dry walled. I live in northwest Ohio, so it sometimes get's pretty cold. I can never turn it all the way up as it will run you out of there. I was reluctant to buy this because it says 500sq ft. Don't be afraid, it will work fine! One thing I did do is move the thermostat from the front of the unit, about half way down the wall (I have the unit mounted it near the celling), so it's handy to turn up and down. As far as Air and Water, I received it very quickly and undamaged. I will definitely buy from them again!

Fire hazard

I purchased and installed this NewAir G73 in December of 2017 to occasionally heat our attached 2 car garage when needed. Apparently the fan stopped working allowing the heating element to overheat, destroying the heater and doing substantial smoke damage to our garage ceiling and covering the garage with soot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I looked at many heaters for days before selecting the G73. I have 20x20 shop w/ 10' ceiling and is insulated. This little unit heats it no problem. It was easy to install and performs as advised by the by Newair rep. Would highly recommend for anyone considering a shop or garage heater.

Bought the portable model first . It worked so well I bought the mountable one for a backup for my office.
Owners manual should have a wiring diagram and not just a statement about hiring an electrician so you can identify the line, load and commons easily.

Purchased my heater over a year ago so I had it on hand to insure I had all the information I needed to insure the right electrical support was put in place. After the electricity was connected to the panel, I tested the unit but the fan was hitting the shroud inside so I shut it down to return to it later. As the temperature outside was starting to drop, I took a Saturday to readjust the shroud so it wasn't hitting. Unfortunately the unit stopped a couple of minutes later. It would not restart. Contacted Shanice in customer support explaining what was happening. She asked me to provide proof of purchase and other information about the unit. Even though it was beyond the warranty period she agreed to replace the unit at no cost except for shipping. Two days after contacting Shanice the replacement unit was in my hand and reinstalled; working as designed. NewAir and Shanice did a wonderful job to prove that they stand behind their products and makes it easier to choose them to provide for your needs. Shanice was also a pleasure to work with. Thank you.
