I am honestly not sure how old the unit is, at least 5 years. It heats my 24 ft by 24 ft garage quickly. I have been very pleased with it. NewAir customer service is great too if you ever need any parts.

It does work however, the 700 square foot heat capacity is a stretch. My garage is 600 suare ft and it never shuts off and it o ly gets to 50 degrees. I have r19 i. The ceailing and walls and my garage door is insulated.

I bought this just over 2 years ago and used sparingly in garage. Now fan still runs but heating element is not functional. I didn't expect it to last a lifetime, but bet it has less than 30 hrs on it. Disappointing...

Tested and reviewed this product on our YouTube channel, White House on the Hill. This heater will help keep our chicks and rabbits warm in our large shed this winter. I'm really impressed with how small and quiet it is. I don't hear it when it's on at all. Takes a little while to heat up, but it does a great job and I love that it has a temp control (Low to High) that turns off when it reaches the desired temp. The tilt on it is pretty great as well... from the corner of the shed, I can get it to point downwards at a pretty good angle to point towards us and the animals.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is my first time im writing a review on any product coz thos one got me...i bought this NewAir G73 heater the first one heating element was not working...so i ordered another one and this one almost burnt my garage down coz it did electrical short out and remember this is a 240volt ... it is because of manufacturers fault...the screw for the cover at the back was touching the wires that goes to the thermostat switch...you can see that in the picture...i called the manufacturer and they were not of anyhelp... garbage.... please do yourself a favour and buy anyother heater out there but not this one...it could have cost me my house by burning it down...coz its a 240volt heater....

Powerful little unit!

This unit is fantastic! Small yet powerful. Can be tucked up in a corner out of the way providing great heat coverage for you average two car garage. No need for a gas forced air unit which requires the installation/connection of gaslines, intake and exhaust ducting which also drives the price up. Last but certainly not least, Newair also has a great customer support team that is very caring, responsive and professional. I would definitely buy another should the need present itself in the future.

I would buy this product again

I heat my woodworking shop which has a size of 11'x24'. I'm amazed how quickly the device has heated the space. After several nights I found the location on the temperature dial where the unit cycles on and off and regulates the temperature I want to work in. I'm looking forward to seeing our electric bill which will now include the heater.
