I would buy this heater again.

I use this heater to warm up my 600+ sq ft garage. And while it has not been that cold here in the winter, this heater waste little time warming it up to the point I work up a sweat while doing a little work in the garage.
Pros: Easily Adjustable, Heats Quickly, Plug seems to be heavy duty., Portable

purchased heater to take the chill out of the basement from time to time. It does a good job, had to have an electrician install a 240 plug, and I do notice a substantial increase in my electric bill if I run it for any length of time. But nothing is cheap in this world we live in, and if you want comfort, you must be prepared to pay for it. I would recommend the heater. My son and my electrician both have this heater...............
Pros: Good Heating Diameter, Heats Quickly, Well-Constructed
Cons: Not Portable

After years of having a cold workshop, I decided to 'splurge' a bit on myself and get a heater. I'd tried the 120v heaters, and they were ok within a one foot radius��+/-- not exactly what I was looking for. Decided to up the ante and get one of the 220v models. Came across the air-n-water site during a google search- good information; lot's of options; great prices; and a navigable website. Narrowed my choices down to a couple of options; called air-n-water; A REAL PERSON ANSWERED THE PHONE!! Got some helpful info (and also got a nice discount!); ordered the unit. Shipping from the warehouse was super fast. The total stunner, tho, was when I got a friendly call the following day from my salesperson to follow up on my order and to give me the most current update re. shipping. WOW! totally nice. Heater arrived in short order; I'd already run the circuit for it, so it was just a matter of reading the short directions/safety precautions; plug it in and see what it could do. Not having had a heater like this before, I wasn't sure what to expect, performance-wise. The heater never really got 'hot', but the temp in the shop definitely got warmer; not as fast as I'd like, but, that's me, not the heater. I did call the factory that makes the heater just to discuss what realistic expectations I should have regarding this heater, and the person I spoke with was very helpful. Turns out that it helps to give this heater a 1-2 hour lead-time to begin to affect a warmer change on a very cold day; when it's not so cold, 1/2-1 hour will suffice. Once warm, all is well. (In my shop, tho, I did elevate the unit a bit off the floor, just to allow it to blow over items instead of into them- made a big difference.) It's a small unit, but does a great job in my 16' x 22' workshop. Air-n-water were awesome!! They will be my first choice next time I need to go down this road.

Thought this would be THE GIFT for my garage monkey partner. Turns out it requires higher voltage outlet. My partner is an electrician and tried to make it work in our house, but the breaker panel could not be converted without replacing the entire thing. Why didn't Newair make this big pre-requisite obvious?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had this heater for over a year now it is a great product heats fast keeps garage warm if you leave it on 24hours a day the power bill will be high I turn it on when I need to do some work in the garage and then turn it off when I'm done makes a big difference in the power bill. I love this unit works just like the heat in my house keeps garage nice a warm.
