Worked great for about 14 months...but then the temperature stopped working. Contacted NewAir and they send replacement parts (no longer under warranty) but is repairable. Thank you

Great unit! (cigar humidor) & How to remove smell.

Like many, I use this as a cigar humidor. It easily fits 9 cigar trays plus. (Don't use all the wire racks and stack them. I'm using 3 lbs of ConservaGel beads...overkill but they're cheap!). SMELL REMOVAL: To remove the smell try wiping down with a 50/50 mixture of distilled white vinegar and distilled water. Before that I tried a week long newspaper, baking soda, airing out, wiping down process and they all helped, but not perfectly. After the white vinegar, wipe down with distilled,let air out with baking soda over night and you should be good.

This wine cooler is priced so well and works exactly as it should as my humidor that I went out and ordered another one. I've had these two wine coolers holding my humidity and temperature consistently. No more worrying about my cigars in the humidor getting above the optimal temperature on hot days. Adding an active humidifier such as an Oasis XL will eliminate any worries and the typical checking up on the humidity and temperature. The digital display and touch-tone controls are located on the outside of the door, simplifying the temperature adjustment without opening the door. If you need a reliable storage for your cigars, forget about those humidors that you'll quickly outgrow -- just get this. Highly recommended, especially if you need a reliable storage for your cigars....and, well....wine, too.

Our children bought this for their mom for her birthday. The unit looks attractive, controls are easy to use and the size perfect for for where it is placed. The wine fridge is a little louder than expected. It's not annoying, but it is noticeable.
The main issue is that it won't maintain a constant temperature. The thermostat can be set as low as 54 degrees F. but in the 6 days we have had the unit, it has never been able to get the temperature below 56 degrees. Most days, without opening the door, the wine fridge temp is anywhere from 56 degrees to 65 degrees. That is with the thermostat set to 54 degrees.

Bought 2 of these about a yr and half ago. A little over a yr one started not to read temp correctly. 3 or 4 months later the other started to do the same. Called air n watet and they said to replace the thermostat board which i had to buy. Just replced both and still doing the same. Right now, I'm not very happy with the product. The price of the wine I have is worth way more than the cooler. Calling the company tomorrow.
