This safe can be mounted to the floor. We do not recommend mounting the safe to the wall since it has not been tested under such conditions. This safe should hold everything from my safe deposit box and other valuable papers that I have at home. I know that the company will replace it if it is damaged in a fire, but I don’t know how I can open it to get my things out, after being damaged in a fire. The digital keypad is soft rubber or plastic that will melt in a fire. Can anyone answer this question?
