I love the safe, size, the compartments, secure but I have reprogrammed it a few times because it keeps malfunctioning when I try to open. At times it won’t even open with the manufacturers code. A little frustrating

Bold down issues with SFW205EVB 2.0 Cu Ft Safe

The safe is the right size for my needs, easy to set up and easy to operate. My issues are with the bolt down instructions and the position of the rear ports. No instructions in the manual for the SFW205EVB rear bolt down option. When I drilled through the center of the top right port, it came out inside in the drawer slots to close to the side of the enclosure, no room for a washer or the head of the bolt much less a wrench to work the bolt.

It’s a good safe for the money, other safes of the same size cost considerably more, weighed more and appeared to more secure. Fire rating were about the same. I needed an affordable safe that I could easily move around if needed. Others were just to heavy.
I don’t like the fact that you cannot delete factory combination, but you can add 2 additional combinations of your own.
I didn’t like that it only came with 2 mounting bolts/screws. I think it would more secure if 4 bolts/screws were used to secure to the floor.

When drilling the holes on the bottom for mounting the bolts/screws, I was surprised how easy it was. Made me question the integrity of the safe.
Also while drilling the hole for the front mounting bolt/screw, there is a factory indention to mark where to drill. It was way off center of the raised footing, (the rear one was dead center) I thought someone missed the center, but in fact I believe it was meant to be off center as when drilled in the middle I partially drilled through the inner part of the door. My mistake but no integrity issue with the door.
The interior is just plastic with 2 adjustable shelves, but ok for my purpose
Adding 2 additional combinations was relatively easy, just follow the direction closely.

The safe is the perfect size and bolting it down went well. Adding the additional combination was straight forward. However, opening it is a challenge. Sometimes it opens first try, sometimes it takes three or for attempts and sometimes I have to use factory set combination. I worry that the day will come when I can’t get it to respond to either combination. I don’t know what I’ll do then
