So...just how do I "ensure filter basket is fully seated" ??? The carafe steams up. So i know I haven't done it right...no instructions. Main part of a coffee maker...no instructions!!!

Does what I need it to do

I figured that instead of taking up extra counter space for a full-sized coffee maker that we rarely need to take advantage of, I'll get this little guy and run a 2nd batch when required. The low price helped solidify that choice. It's got no bells or whistles so there's less to figure out, less to clean, and less to break.
Though I don't fit either category, I imagine this no-fuss maker would be perfect for college kids and old folks.

First time purchasing a P/Silex coffee maker appliance, and this one is a mini. Still working out ratio of coffee to water as a mini seems different from a full-size model coffee maker.
