Amazing quality and color, I love this printer and used all the features. I though I would give some tips from my experience. One make sure you use epson paper! Two - in the tray have the paper with the epson name up, then you won't get lines. For the scanner under the network, go to utilities and epson scan and change to network settings.

Best printer I have ever had in the 20+ years of buying printers. Ink supply last and the cost of printing low. Pictures are great and again very affordable. No need for the photo cente

Photo Happy

I like the bells and whistles in my Artisan 800. The note paper is exciting! To see my picture behind the scenes makes me want to write a letter even more! The machine is very quiet too. The paper trays shut so that dust is not a big problem. I wish the memory slots were covered like my RX680. Special projects that are done on the screen of the printer require the picture to be on a memory chip or jump drive, minor snag once you learn it.

I've been using Epson printers for many years, now I use the Artisan 800. I believe this is the very best table top printer Epson has EVER made.
The photo quality is has been improved to the point we now have professional quality photos in 4X6, 5X7, 8X10 & 8 1/2 X11 sizes.
This printer is VERY easy on ink usage, allowing for many quality pictures from each ink cartridge. Granted, I would always like to see more photos from my cartridges, but unlike other manufacturers, I don't feel ripped off using my Epson.
I cannot recommend this printer any higher, it's an excellent product for those of us who care about printing ONLY the best.

My son gave me this printer at Christmas and I was so excited, however once I learned how to use it, I love it!!! Everyone that sees my photos can't believe I printed them. They say the quality is better than the print shops. I spend a little more for my ink, but I promise you, it is worth every penny. It is a simple unit to use. I have done the restoration on it and it is unbelievable. I love how I can crop a photo that I might not of used otherwise. I recommend this to all my friends and family. I was in a big retailer one day and a couple of men were printing their pictures and the quality was terrible. I interrupted and told them about the Epson Artisan 800, just couldn't help myself :)

4 months & 2 defective printers

The only positive thing I can say is that the first printer I bought worked for 4 months perfectly. After the honeymoon period of 4 months, the document feeder failed. Epson was great and shipped a new printer quick. I set-up the new printer up and don't you know the replacement printer had issues with the document feeder when copying and scanning. After wasting tons of ink and time it was determined to be yet another hardware failure. I'm taking the chance that a third printer will be the one because I don't want to wait 2 weeks for my money to be refunded.

Don't Buy It

I find this printer to be temperamental and the accessories are flimsy. I've had it less than a year and the really lame tray that catches the paper has broken and there's a TWO MONTH backorder to replace the part. VERY disappointing. It uses a lot of ink and the print quality is not that outstanding.
