We shopped for several months for a high definition television and after much research decided on Samsung and very glad we did. The quality of the picture is absolutely amazing. The colors are so radiant, picture very crisp and clear. It makes you feel like you are actually there. You can't stop watching it. All of our friends want to watch all of the football games here and are just amazed at the clarity. I don't have to recommend this to anyone because they see for themselves that nothing compares to the "ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TV.'

Best 1080p LCD on the market!

After having seen many 1080p LCD's in the last year, I have to admit that the LN46A950, has no competition! The picture is breath taking. There is nothing to dislike about this set. I have been a Samsung TV owner since 2003. Samsung has alawys been on the cutting edge of technology. I have had people tell me that they feel as if the people on screen are acutually in the room with them, and that it has a 3D effect. If you want the best LCD that money can buy, then the A950 is for you. This TV has many uses. It has built in games, recipes, childrens stories, and artwork. Something for the entire family. You will find it hard to leave the house.
What are you waiting for? Go out and get one today!

An Absolutely Incredible Picture!

I'm an electrical engineer with a specialty in electro-optics so I have a critical eye when evaluating display technology. I purchased the Samsung 46-inch LED driven LCD TV on November 1, 2008. I've connected it to a Blue Ray disk player (HDMI cable) and it produces the best images I have ever seen on a television! The contrast is incredible and the color gamut is outstanding! The best Blue ray movie disk that I have seen that demonstrates the full performance of this TV is "The Phantom of the Opera". The colors are incredible. You can see subtle nuances in the pastel colors used in the costumes of the actors. In fact, when viewing a standard DVD of the same movie ("Phantom of the Opera") on this TV, you can clearly see the difference in the color rendition in identical movie scenes. Although this TV is at its best when using Blue ray disks, even ordinary DVDs are outstanding. This is especially true for recent movies that use special effects compatible with this new display technology. One example is "Transformers" (Standard DVD). Older science fiction movies ("Terminator", Blue Ray disk) are a bit disappointing since this TV's resolution makes the special effects look poor. The war machines in "Terminator" look like toys. More conventional movies such as "Miss Potter"(standard DVD) create the impression of being at a play because the image rendition is so good. I recommend the Samsung 46 inch LED driven LCD television without reservation! Buy this TV and connect it to a good Blue Ray Disk player using an HDMI cable and don't forget the Home Entertainment Surround Sound system!
In case you are wondering, I have no affiliation with Samsung or any other consumer electronic company.
