Pedestal won't stay closed on washer

I bought the pedestal on both washer and dryer and now my washer won't stay closed - reading below this seems to be a common problem - wish I would have known this first

6 months old and latch already broke wouldn't spend the $ you could build something that would last longer

Broke at 14 months. The co. sent me a new latch. Worked for a whils, now it isn't broken, but it pops open for no reason. How ugly! I guess we will have to try to fix it again!

Broken After First Use

I bought this pedestal to go with my new washer. The latch broke during the first use of the washing machine. It has taken three weeks to get this fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Drawer won't stay closed

Love everything about the washer and dryer. Love the pedestal except the drawer keeps popping open. You shut it then a few seconds it opens again. I have to tape it to keep it closed. I've had it for about a month. The day they were delivered the other drawer would not stay closed so they replaced it the next day. Now this one. It must be a poor design of the latch. Now I have to call the repair man out...

They are very useful and add height to the front loading machines. However, the pedestal drawers have a small clip to retain them and it breaks easily and it is very hard to find a parts list anywhere to get them replaced.

Life Just Got A Little Easier!

I would recommend the touch-2-open drawer to anyone - We have two of them - under washer & dryer. I keep my cleaning supplies and trash bags under one and washing supplies in the other one. They are deep and wide enough to hold plenty of bottles. The one thing I did have to do is find a smaller bottle of my Apple Cinder Vinegar & White Vinegar. But that is the only problem I have run into. When I need something out of one of the drawers - you very lightly push on it and it comes right open and then lightly push on it again it closes. Slides with no problems. I also like that the inside tracks are adjustable giving me bigger space where needed. I even have a plastic shoe box in one of them to hold my washing supplies. If I had to re-buy this....I WOULD! Not to mention that since we got a new washer & dryer (front loads) that they are an easier height to also work with. So it was a good decision all they way around. - Also I found they are very easy to clean as well. You just wipe the outside with a soft sponge and all done!
