Disappointed

This is my third Epson printer - the first lasted forever, and I totally wore the second one out - but I loved them both. Workforce 500 does not make the same grade. It is difficult to load the paper, and often it will bend the tops of multiple sheets. Sometimes the print quality becomes poor as the ink runs out, but the machine will not let me change the ink until it says so. Sometimes the new ink will run on the back of the page, ruining the page and wasting paper and ink. It uses much more ink than did either of my last two printers. All in all, I am very disappointed in this product.

Epson workforce 500 report

This printer uses excessive ink! I can hardly print any quantity of pages without having to buy ink. Also - the paper feed is sorry!!! Half the time the paper hangs up going down the paper feed tray. I would return this now to Office Depot if I could. Will never buy another Epson product. One more thing - you can't bypass an empty color cartridge to print black only!! If a color cartridge is empty then the printer simply will not let you print using the black only feature. The printer properties let you select print black only - but the darn' printer won't let you print black only with any failed color cartridge.

This is the first inkjet printer that I've bought. I love the photos and the print quality is great. I also love the fact that Epson makes higher capacity cartridges if you plan to print a lot. I have had my printer for over a year and I have NEVER had a problem. I also like the fact that you can print documents in "draft" mode which will save you on the ink. My next purchase will be the Artisan 710. I am an EPSON LOVER for life! GO EPSON!!!!!!!

hard to navigate

I regret purchasing this product as it isn't user friendly. It's a real pain to set up and navigate through the menu. I like epson, just not this machine.

I like my 500 for all it does, with the exception for when one ink cartridge is out all four minus-as-well be out, because you're not going to be able to print anything. But overall, I haven't had any problems with the paper feed or the printer itself and I have had my 500 for about 2 years now. This is a great printer for home user with basic printing needs.

Okay, but fuzzy printing!!!

It was a very good printer when I first bought it, but now the head allignment is all messed up, and when ever I print something it comes out all fuzzy. I did the automatic head allignment on the setup menu on the printer, but it didnt work!!! Ive only had this printer for about a year. Can anybody help me?!

I especially like the new ink, 4 inks do a great job even on photos. the printing is quicker then my RX620. Scanning is still slow but makes up for it with sheet feeder. I like this machine very much and I needed a fax.

I have printed 2 (two) color documents and the ink is low. I have printed less than 20 total single page black and white documents. I will be returning this item.
