I have a problem with the idea that I can't sent a fax or do any other functions on this printer unless all of the ink cartridges have ink in them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I should have returned to Epson much

purchase long ago. It was an Epson LX-80
Dot-Matrix Printer purchased back in 1986.
The printer worked dependably and reliably
for over 10-years!

Find another machine

I bought this machine in Dec 2008. Worked fine until Nov 2009 when the paper feeder quit working. Uses an extremely large amount of ink and replacement cartridges are not cheap. I would not buy another one. Have owned several Epsons, but this is the poorest quality machine I've purchased.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have never seen such crisp, clean printouts on an at-home printer!!! The ink lasts much longer than any other printer I've owned...and that is plenty, believe me!

The WorkForce 500 is an excellent additon to my office setup. It prints and scans with extremely high quality and the cost is fantastic for the quality of this product.
I highly recommend it.

We purchased the workforce 500 a couple months ago and we are very happy with all it will do, we have not done all it is capable of but so far are very happy with its capabilities.
